Summer reading challenge is out of this world

Cover

This year’s Summer Reading Challenge is inspired by the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. The Space Chase adventure begins on 13 July and children aged 4-11 can sign up at any of Norfolk County Council’s libraries. They’ll join The Rockets, our super space family, for a thrilling mission to track down books nabbed by mischievous aliens.

Eleven thousand children took part in last year’s reading challenge. The challenge encourages children to keep up their reading skills during the long summer break.

Esme (7) from Brooke Primary School took part in last year’s challenge. “Collecting stickers for each book I read last summer was great. I can find it hard to choose a book I like but I love space and astronauts and can’t wait to pick my books and get space stickers this year!”
